While Omega Squad grieves at the funeral of their fallen comrade, a new superintendant takes command of the Academy and a new cadet arrives, Edam Astrun, a Betazoid. Edam is a hothead, but learns the value of teamwork. Nog has problems with Edam and is accused of attempted murder.
