Esperanza Piñiero

Esperanza Piñiero was the Chief of Staff to President Nanietta Bacco upon her election in 2379. A former Starfleet officer, Piñiero served on the USS Gorkon during the Dominion War and was Admiral Alynna Nechayev's attaché. In 2376 Piñiero resigned from Starfleet and returned to her home planet of Cestus III where she convinced Bacco, an old friend of her family's and then Cestus Governor, to run for president after joining her staff. She was one of the few people to discover the truth of what happened to former President Min Zife, learning the facts from Starfleet Admiral Upton and passing this information along to Bacco during the campaign.
