Crystalline Trench

The Crystalline Trench is a treacherous region located on an unspecified planet. After retiring from Starfleet in 2293, James T. Kirk took to many dangerous pursuits, including rapelling the trench, diving in the Alandros Caves, and rafting down lava flows. (TOS - Crucible novel: The Fire and the Rose).
